INTRODUCTION TO BEAR LODGE STUD

Heather and Tim established Bear Lodge Stud in 1989 standing H.I.S T.B.s and Irish Draughts at public stud as time passed the stud expanded to stand a variety of stallions from Thoroughbreds for racing to warm bloods and Irish Draughts for competition to Arab, Appaloosas and Quarter horses latterly we have also been standing Iberian horses PREs (Andalusians) because we love the trainability, soundness and kindness of these horses. It has always been our policy to breed sound quality horses for pleasure so it as always been important that they are well handled and produced correctly.

We have always been involved in breeding, training and producing horses for a variety of equestrian disciplines and we have been lucky enough to have successes in racing eventing, showing and dressage.

Training is available for horse and rider using our own CSC training method which is a holistic approach using tried and tested classical sympathetic correct training. It takes time patience, experience and consistency to train a horse and rider combination to perform at the highest level of potential whilst at the same time maintaining rider confidence and the physical and mental well being of the horse, after all the aim is to produce a harmonious partnership with a confident considerate rider and a horse who is a happy athlete and willing partner in our riding achievements.
The training takes into account the physicality aptitude ability and stage of training of both horse and rider.
